Subject:- Joint Meeting of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers MRC and Institute of Chemical Engineers U.K on 28th & 29th June 2010.
Mr. Russell M Scott Vice–President – International and Mr. Neil Atkinson of Institute of Chemical Engineers UK had a meeting with Mr. Praveen Saxena, Chairman and Mr. Jayesh Master Secretary & Mr. P D Samudra member of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers MRC on 28th & 29th June 2010 at Mumbai Regional Center Office.
On 28th June 2010 a video conference was organized and participated by Mr. K. Venkataranaman Past President IIChE and member of board L&T, suggested to have sponsor membership for IChemE UK by India corporate. The IChemE UK membership fee will be sponsored by corporate and utilized by selected chemical engineers of the corporate and this membership will be transferable on request of corporate sponsored organization. The concept of joint IIChE & IChemE UK membership also discussed in the meeting and well accepted to formalize. Mr. Russell Scott & Mr. Neil Atkinson appreciated the modern facilities of conference room installed by MRC and proposed to use the same for IChemE activities in future.
Mr. Praveen Saxena made a presentation of IIChE MRC activities of 2009 & 2010. Mr. Russell appreciated the MRC activities specifically for Young Chemical Engineers and Students, the concept of Outstanding Young Chemical Engineers (OYCE) competition and a platform for coming Chemical Engineers.
Mr. Neil Atkinson made presentation on possibilities of joint membership of IChemE & IIChE.
